Batch Log Monitor
The following are some key benefits of the new Overnight Batch Monitor:
Real-Time Feed
Batch logs are updated every 15 minutes. Customers can check to see what command the batch is currently running and how
long previous commands took to run.
Multiple Views
Take a quick look or drill down for more detail.
|
Overnight Summary: Reports a one line status for each license. Tells you the start
time of the batch, and the batch command currently being executed. |
|
Batch License Summary: Focuses on lines in the batch that either take longer than two seconds
or have an error. Simple commands like “ONTHERUN” or “DISPLAYBOTH” will be excluded. |
|
Batch License Details: This is the log you normally generate in the Yield Book after
running any batch. Unlike the Batch License Summary, you get every line and details about executing each command.
The “HISTCURVE” command, for example, will list the values for the seven key rates on the yield curve. |
|
CSV View: Click the CSV icon to open the batch log in Excel. Use a data filter
to set up your own focus statement. For example, drill down to just GETPORT commands to see which portfolios are
referenced in a batch. |
Consolidated Parent-Child Batch Scripts
There is no need to search through batch logs for each child batch. The summary reports will conveniently list the batch log
for each child batch in the order they run.
